SECRET’s Ji Eun to leave “Immortal Song 2″

SECRET’s Ji Eun has announced that she will be leaving KBS’s “Immortal Song 2” due to her conflicting schedules with SECRET’s Japanese promotions. The June 20th recording will be her last, and her replacement has yet to be decided.

After the filming, I went to meet with the advertisers, who all happened to be women. I was going to greet them with a cool, low voice, but I ended up burping. I burped, ‘Thank youuuuuuuu~.’”

Kim Hyun Joong went a step further by revealing an even more embarrassing story involving a plastic bottle. He explained, “I had to go to the bathroom really bad while filming ‘School of Rock.’ I missed the chance to go to the bathroom so I reached a point where I just couldn’t hold it in anymore.”

Unfortunately, there was a large crowd of them coming in and I realized that I’d be crushed to death if I went in. I did a U-turn and returned to the auditorium’s waiting room.”

To the amusement of others, he revealed, “I found an old plastic bottle behind the stage, so I cut a part of it with scissors and… I’ll be taking what happened next to my grave.” He added, “I threw the plastic bottle out the window after I used it.”

The Super Junior member finally introduced his younger sister to the public on the June 14th episode of “Strong Heart”. Ahn Da Young is a first year student in middle school, and she’s been using her mother’s maiden name after their parents divorced.

Shindong revealed,

“When my younger sister was in elementary school, she studied so well that she received all 100%s. Before she got all 100%s, I promised to buy her a computer if she got all 100%s. One day, I got a call from my mom saying that Da Young got all 100%s… so I bought her a computer.

After about a month, mom called back and said that she didn’t actually get all 100%s, that she actually got about 1 or 2 wrong.”

He continued,

“One day I got a call and my sister said things she usually doesn’t say, like, ‘Oppa, I miss you. I love you’. When I asked why she was saying these things, she said B2ST was having a concert. My younger sister is a B2ST fan. Because I got tickets for her friends as well, I became a popular star.“

Later, Da Young was asked, “What do you think of Leeteuk oppa?” She shouted, “He’s good-looking!” Unfortunately, Leeteuk’s glee was short-lived when she continued, “But I like B2ST more.”

Kang Ho Dong asked, “Who do you like most out of the guest stars Yunho, Kim Hyun Joong, Lee Seung Gi, and Junho?“. Without hesitation she responded, “I like B2ST the most,” shocking all the stars with her frank answer, and causing the audience to howl with laughter.

Looking as if she was about to cry at the praise, IU replied, “I feel great right now.”

Judge Kim Jang Hoon added, “It seems you’ve managed to overcome your obstacles. I would like to applaud you for that.”

IU received a total score of 32.6 in the end, which led her to burst out, “I received a lot of praise, so I definitely feel more confident. There were a lot of people who didn’t view me in a positive light, so I was honestly very upset. A lot of people said that I didn’t work hard, but I think I did work hard… I think it’s because I’m not that good. In our next competition, I promise to show even more improvement.”

Kim Hyun Joong talks about his trainee days

On June 8th, Kim Hyun Joong guested on MBC’s “Knee-Drop Guru” and talked about his training period before his debut with SS501.

He began by describing the strict environment of his former label, DSP Media: “It’s a company that makes you fend for yourself. As a trainee, I’d clean up the recording room in the morning and run 20 laps around the field. Every day, they’d add another lap until I reached 40. We also had to eat fast.”

He continued, “When we were being trained in singing, eight of us would be in one small room and had to sing together. It was hard to concentrate on what you were singing.”

MC Kang Ho Dong commented, “Your CEO at the time is known for being quite the scary man.” Kim Hyun Joong replied, “He was hard, but we said everything we wanted to. Even if he said, ‘What do you mean you need dancers, it’s just extra expenses,’ we would still say that we needed dancer hyungs and he’d listen and comply. He was like a father, and he would call me son. He thought cutely of me.”

When asked about SS501’s rivals at the time of their debut, he mused, “We were half confident in our ability to stand on equal footing with TVXQ. We thought of sneakily going from behind and then bursting out in front. It wasn’t necessarily a plan, but just the atmosphere at the time. The public naturally set it up like that for us.”

Reflecting back to his debut on June 8th, 2005, Kim Hyun Joong concluded, “After our first broadcast, I teared up. I think it’s because of that sense of achievement and because I remembered everything we had gone through as trainees.”
