HAM delivers a successful showcase at a special live event in Japan

Rookie girl group HAM held a special live event at Shibuya’s “Club Asia“, and showed off a variety of impressive performances.

Japanese fans gave a warm welcome to the girls as they performed their debut track, “T.T Dance“, along with “So Sexy,” and “Doo Geun Doo Geun.” Fun solo stages included leader Sujin’s “Work It Out“, Hyoni’s “Say You Love Me“, and maknae Gahyun’s “Get Sexy.”



Afterwards, at their press conference, the three members commented, “We were nervous, but thanks to the support of our fans, we were able to successfully complete the event.”

When asked about their future Japanese activities, Sujin replied, “We want to release an album and get on the Oricon chart.” Hyoni added, “I hope to study Japanese a bit more and appear on talk shows,” while Gahyun said, “I think Japanese cuisine is really delicious, and I hope to live in Japan should the opportunity come up.”


Reporters then asked the girls to elaborate on their plans for Japanese success with a ’sexy concept’ that isn’t usually seen amongst idol groups in Japan. The girls revealed, “Your facial expression is really important. You have to dance with the thought of captivating the cameraman’s heart.”

F.T. Island’s Lee Hong Ki revealed a juicy dating secret from the past on KBS 2TV’s “National Talk Show Hello.”

While listening to to Supreme Team’s Simon D and Lady Jane talk about their lives as a couple, Lee Hong Ki dropped his love story bomb.

He said, “I’ve actually dated someone eight years older than me.”


He shocked his fans one more time when he made a comment about the candy kiss from IRIS. He said, “Aren’t you supposed to do a candy kiss until the candy melts all the way?”

Is IU now a “sell-out girl”?

It looks like IU is well on her way to earning the title of ’sell-out girl’.

Viewers have been clogging up KBS’s phone lines inquiring about the fashion item she wore on the latest episode of “Dream High“. On February 7th’s broadcast of the drama, IU, acting as Kim Pilsook, ate meat secretly after getting sick of the bad hospital food.


In this scene, IU wore a cute Disney ponytail holder in the shape of Mickey Mouse. After this scene aired, Disney’s internet homepage displayed an increase in traffic by 30%.

The ponytail holder is made by Walt Disney Jewelry, composed of pink cubic crystals. IU made a hair statement by putting only half of her hair up with this adorable hair accessory.

Super Junior-M unveils teaser images for comeback

After a long hiatus, Super Junior’s sub-group, Super Junior-M, will be making their comeback this Valentine’s Day.

There’s no official word of anything concrete from SM Entertainment as yet, but four new teaser images of Super Junior M members, Si Won, Donghae, Henry, and Zhou Mi, were revealed on the morning of February 12th through avex’s Taiwan official website, sparking talks of an impending comeback. In addition, their name of their title track is likely to be “Too Perfect“, as seen on the website.


Meanwhile, it’s said that Eunhyuk and Sungmin will be linking up with Super Junior-M, while their comeback date is set for February 14th.

Big Bang’s Seungri indirectly apologizes for a recent interview

Big Bang’s Seungri raised anticipation amongst fans for the group’s impending comeback this month, as well as indirectly apologizing for a recent interview through a new post on his me2day.

On the morning of February 12th, the singer wrote, “TAEYANG, that man is returning. With GD, T.O.P, Daesung, and Seungri!! ^^ -NEW BIG BANG-”.


What caught the attention of fans, however, were the tags he used for the post, which demonstrated his efforts in taking caution for his next interviews: “Big Bang, comeback, impending, Seungri, interview, take caution, sorry, Running Man, final broadcast.”

To recap, the singer participated in Daum Yozm’s fan interview that stirred a bit of controversy over his mentioning of SNSD and JYJ’s Junsu’s “Mozart.”

YG Entertainment officials had clarified, “Seungri’s the type that loves humorous and fun things, so he probably expressed the close relationships that he jokes around with and sometimes bickers with in that manner.”

First teaser for upcoming horror movie “Tomie Unlimited” is out

The upcoming horror movie “Tomie Unlimited” which is the 8th in the Tomie series has recently released its first teaser. The Tomie series is based on the mystery horror manga written by Ito Junji, and the series have resulted many previously unknown actresses to become popular.

For the latest series, Arai Moe will play the main character, Tsukiko, while Nakamura Miu will take the role of Tomie. AKB48 member, Ohta Aika will also make appearance as a friend of Tsukiko.


The Tomie series has a different story setting for each movie, and for this latest series, Tomie and Tsukiko are set as sisters. The story will revolve around Tomie as she keeps reviving from death.

Although the movie itself is released with an age restriction of 15 or older to view, the trailer can be watched without any restriction. ”Tomie Unlimited” is scheduled to be released on May 14th.

U-KISS’ Eli & Kevin reveal their ideal woman’s traits

On February 11th, U-KISS’ Eli and Kevin attended the press conference for their “Star Date” special with Arirang TV, for which the members go on dates with Hallyu fans in Hong Kong.

The two raised anticipation by commenting, “The night view in Hong Kong is amazing, and there’s a lot of things to eat. We feel that this will be an opportunity to become closer with our fans.”

The members were then asked to describe their ideal women, to which Eli replied, “I like tall women with nice personalities. It’s inevitable for physical appearance to be included in describing my ideal woman, but first and foremost, I’d like for her to have an outgoing personality.”

When asked to choose a female celebrity that they’d like to give chocolates to on Valentine’s Day, Eli and Kevin chose Hyun Young and 2NE1’s Dara, respectively.

Nine Muses loses three members, new additions a possibility

Nine Muses‘ Bini, Lana, and Hyemin have declared that they will be leaving the group in order to branch out into other areas.

Bini alerted fans of the career change through her personal mini-homepage, as she wrote, “I am no longer red haired, or a singer anymore.” The post had netizens wondering if Bini was planning to leave the group.


Their agency, Star Empire, clarified on the matter through Newsen on February 11th. “Bini, Lana, and Hyemin are not leaving the group. They’ve always had an interest in acting and modeling, so they will briefly be taking a break from the group in order to pursue those areas. Depending on what happens, they might return to Nine Muses.”

The three are also not participating in the group’s next album, as representatives continued to reveal, “They are not joining the group in their rehearsals, but they do visit the company and keep in contact. They will remain under Star Empire.”

Star Empire hinted at the possibility of additional members by stating, “Nine Muses is always open to new members, so a new member might be added for their next album.”

The group is currently collecting tracks for their next comeback.

Lee Hyori chosen by plastic surgery clinic to have ‘perfect facial proportions’

Lee Hyori is being touted as the female celebrity with the most envied facial features.

As part of their poll, a plastic surgery clinic asked their customers to pick “The celebrity who has the prettiest nose line and angle”. First place went to Lee Hyori with an overwhelming 53.5% of the votes, while actresses Song Hye Gyo with 21.8% and Lee Min Jung with 20.4%.

The director of the plastic surgery shop commented, “Lee Hyori who got 1st place with the prettiest nose, has a bold and refined nose. Also, the end of her nose has a 35 degree angle that’s said to give other Asians a sense of visual pleasure. Lee Hyori’s nose is exactly in the middle of her face, giving her the perfect facial proportions.”

Continuing, the director discussed the runner-ups. “Song Hye Gyo has a sightly rounded nose, but its end is high and gives off a cute image. Lee Min Jung has a slightly chubby but high nose end; her nose gives off a feel of modernness.”

The director concluded, “Lee Hyori, Song Hye Gyo, Lee Min Jung all have a nice nose line and nose shape. They all give off a sense of appeal and attractiveness.”

JYJ’s Jaejoong revealed that his preferred kiss type is a ‘bath kiss’.

On February 11th, JYJ will be guesting on mbn’s “Celebrity Magazine VIP“, during which they revealed the type of kiss each member liked or wanted.

Yoo In Na chats about Humming Urban Stereo, IU, and her ideal man

On February 9th, actress Yoo In Na guested on MBC Radio’s “Blue Night, This is Jung Yeob” and shared her thoughts on working with Humming Urban Stereo for his latest digital single, “You That Day.”

She began, “I was worried about messing up the song, but I earned a better response than I thought, so I’m glad. I felt my voice was a bit awkward at first, but listening to it more made me like it, and now I turn it up loudly in my room.”


The actress often talked about how she hoped to pursue a singing career, and so she was asked whether she wanted to join a particular girl group. She replied, “It’s probably impossible, but I’d like to join 2NE1.”

When asked to choose her ideal man, she chose actor Kim Kab Soo and explained, “Kim Kab Soo’s acting is so moving. My ideal man has since changed to him.”

The DJ mentioned how a lot of male celebrities (such as Lee Kwang Su, G-Dragon, and Lee Seo Jin) chose her as their ideal woman, and Yoo In Na shyly replied, “Their ideal women have probably all changed now.”

The actress was also asked about how she came to develop a friendship with IU, who’s 10 years younger than her. Yoo In Na mused, “IU is mentally older. An hour really isn’t enough when we’re complimenting each other, and I still haven’t been able to find any of her flaws.”

Her guest appearance concluded with a heartwarming shoutout to her family members, after it was revealed that Yoo In Na worked hard for 10 years in order to reach her current level of fame. “I don’t have an amazing story to tell, like how my family was against my career choice, but my family did worry a lot about me.”

Gyuri answers questions about KARA at “Alpha and Omega” conference

On February 10th, KARA’s Park Gyuri attended the press conference for “Alpha and Omega“, and addressed the inevitable questions about her group’s controversy.

She began by stating, “No matter how difficult it became, I felt that I could withstand anything as long as I believed in myself and people continued to love and believe in me. I’m really apologetic towards the people who worried so much, and I’ll be repaying that by working harder to show an improved image.”

Gyuri continued, “I’m planning to promote extra hard as all five, and because our fans believe in us so much, I promise to not disappoint you. For now, I’m just so very sorry to the people who worried. So, so very sorry, and repaying that is my priority. We promise to become a KARA that works hard.”


Gyuri was asked when KARA would officially return to their Korean activities, to which she replied, “If the fans want it, we will return whenever.”

She also addressed the rumors of discord when a reporter brought it up. “Honestly, there are no problems between us members, so we do not pay attention to the discord rumors. All of us have good relationships.”

Moving on to her actual dubbing role for “Alpha and Omega,” Gyuri revealed, “I was once a child actress, so I acted first before I became a singer. I’ve always wanted to try acting if the opportunity should arise. Whether it’s a drama, or just dubbing, acting itself is so charming to me. Even as a singer, I go on stage thinking that I will be acting.”

“Alpha and Omega” will be released on February 24th.

Kan Mi Youn releases ‘Sunshine’ MV feat. 2PM’s Junsu

Yesterday, we reported that 2PM’s Junsu would be guest-featuring on Kan Mi Youn’s latest single, ‘Sunshine‘. Though the single is scheduled to hit stores on February 17th, the full music video has been released today.


‘Sunshine’ is a special re-arrangement of a track that Junsu composed four years ago; he gave Kang Mi Youn the track as a gift in support of her comeback.
