SBS reports Jang Ja Yeon’s revealing document, “hosted 31 customers over 100 times”

On March 6th, SBS “8 O’clock News” reported, “Actress Jang Ja Yeon had ‘entertained’ 31 guests for a total of 100 times.”

Jang Ja Yeon, known for her role in Boys Over Flowers, sent shockwaves through the industry when she committed suicide in 2009 after being sexually abused.

The program revealed, “A 50-container/230-page document directly written and delivered to friends by Jang Ja Yeon, who committed suicide in March 2009, has been obtained. In the document, a narrative titled ‘Snow’ draws the story of how unknown celebrities are forced into an ugly entertainment industry.” The “8 O’clock News” cited the documents, stating, “The police who were investigating Jang Ja Yeon’s case knew of this fact but chose to overlook it. Jang Ja Yeon asked for ‘revenge’ in the document.”

They added, “Jang Ja Yeon entertained a total of 31 people, 100 times - being forced to give sexual favors. However, claims by representative Kim from her past agency reveals a completely different story. Jang Ja Yeon had kept records of their jobs however, and within these records, it is supposed that officials, publisher officials, corporations, financial institutions, and media officials are involved.”

Also, “A handwriting expert has confirmed that the documents belonged to Jang Jayeon.” The “8 O’clock News” revealed, “Jang Ja Yeon wrote, ‘Please get revenge.

There is no way out of hosting. The men who come to receive services are evil. I was forced to host over 100 times. Whenever I get new clothes to wear, I had to meet another devil. Not just in Kangnam, but I also hosted at Suwon Karaoke and various room salons. Even on my parents’ memorial day, I was forced to host. Since I made a list, avenge me to the death. Even if I die, I will take my revenge to the grave.’”

Meanwhile, in November 2010, Jang Ja Yeon’s agency representative Kim (41) and manager Yoo (31), who were both involved in the actress’s case, each received a probation sentence of 2 years of jail time and 160 hours of community service.

Although Jang Ja Yeon committed suicide in March 2009 at her home in Kyungkido, because no history was found at that point, the case was labeled as a simple suicide. However, after Mr. Yoo revealed ‘Jang Ja Yeon’s document,” the case has finally come to a conclusion.

“My Black Mini Dress” glitters with big brand sponsors

With “My Black Mini Dress” boasting four of Korea’s most chic actresses (Yoon Eun Hye, Park Han Byul, Yoo In Na, Cha Ye Ryun) in its leading roles, sponsors are lining up to provide top quality products to live up to the ladies’ roles as luxurious big spenders.

A representative of the producers revealed, “We can’t reveal the exact amount, but the costs that have gone into the outfits alone amount to 30% of the total production expenses. The outfits that are worn amongst the four of them also total to $300,000 USD.”

The wardrobe costs for “My Black Mini Dress” triples that of the average Korean movie, and because most of the outfits were specifically crafted for the four ladies, the expected cost is speculated to be greater than what was revealed.

The girls will be wearing brands like KUHO, Jean-Luc Amsler, Tory Burch, Levi’s, and many others.

Most of the scenes also take place in Kangnam, Seoul, in addition to the high-end locations of Chungdam-dong and Apgujung-dong. Producers were able to rent the ‘Tony Burch’ store in its entirety as well.

The movie will hit theaters on March 24th.

HAM returns with “Lower Your Sight” on Inkigayo

Girl group HAM made their comeback on this week’s episode of “Inkigayo” with their title track, “Lower Your Sight.”

After trying different genres in previous promotions, the girls returned to their original genre, rock, in order to set them apart from the other pop style girl groups. ”Lower Your Sight” not only features their vocal talent, but a simple yet strong drum and guitar sound that makes for a fun rhythm.

“Lower Your Sight” was also a return to the rock genre for the group, and features lyrics personally written by the girls.

HAM’s comeback performance has however concerned viewers with the girls’ unnecessary lip syncing.

Viewers argued that although lip syncing was popular back in the 90s, it’s rarely ever used amongst artists today. Not only did they lip sync, but they also took their mics away from their mouths even before their parts were finished. .

Viewers expressed disappointment in the hard work they put in towards their choreography, hair/makeup concept, and session participation, since it was brought together with a lackluster comeback due to the lip syncing.

Check out their performance below nevertheless!

5dolls aim to rival and surpass T-ara

Co-Ed’s girl group unit 5dolls revealed their ambitions for their future in the music industry.

The five-member group revealed the dance song “I Mean You” in the middle of February, and made their debut with the release of their mini album, which they are currently in midst of promoting.

You could say that 5dolls aren’t necessarily rookies though, as Soo Mi, Chan Mi, Hyo Young, Hye Won made their debut under the 10-member group Co-Ed last year, and Soo Mi was a former member of the 3-member female vocal group SeeYa in 2009.

However, the determination 5dolls possesses is even more rookie-like than other rookies, and the reason is that they didn’t necessarily live up to the expectations they were given by the public when they had made their debut under Co-Ed. They were even victimized by malicious rumors, but that only drove 5dolls to try harder.

“We thought of it as if we do well now, we can do well with Co-Ed also. We were sure of our confidence. Prior to our debut, we practiced our singing and dancing a lot. Also, since we’re a girl group, we can show a more cute and feminine image, something you couldn’t see in Co-Ed”, said Chan Mi about their potential.

Having the popular girl group T-ara under Core Contents Media with them have been a good stimulant for 5dolls.

Soo Mi said, “The older and younger girls of our seniors T-ara give us lots of advice” and “Our seniors T-ara is a team that provokes us well, and one day we want to be an amazing girl group that can surpass them at least once.”

There’s a lot more to rivaling T-ara though, as Hyo Young’s younger twin sister Hwa Young is in the group.

Hyo Young said, “I want to rival my younger sister Hwa Young” and “We’re both rappers of our respective teams, so there’s more rivalry between us.”

The members of 5dolls also had their respective new beginnings with the group, adding onto the reasons of why their debut album is even more endearing to them.

Hye Won said, “Chan Mi graduated high school with Eun Kyo, and I graduated middle school” and “As we take new beginnings, we are promoting ‘I Mean You’ with a joyful heart”.

Eun Kyo, who is newly added to the group and is known for her dancing skills, said, “I’m happy to attend An Yang Arts High School with Hye Won” and “I’m doing my best in enjoying the stage with this set of mind.”

Finally, 5dolls revealed that they would like to receive a rookie award in the female group category, and even strive to win first on a music program.

ZE:A’s Kwang Hee on plastic surgery, becoming a variety idol, and “We Got Married”

ZE:A’s Kwang Hee has become a household name on variety programs for his hilarious antics and shocking confessions. He’s now the #1 most sought after guest, and is even lined up to make a cameo appearance on KBS’s upcoming drama, “Homicide Division.”

When asked about previously headlining for his plastic surgery confessions, he revealed, “There’s nothing bad about it. My agency told me to stop talking about it on shows at first, but it ended up working out because everyone enjoyed it. I made enough money to pay my parents back for the money they spent on my plastic surgery (laughter). The only thing I’m worried about is misleading others into thinking that plastic surgery is an easy decision. Everyone, please think hard before you make your decision!”

His popularity is now akin to that of 2AM’s Jo Kwon, as both are now known for their famous ‘kkap’ and witty speech. “Kang Ho Dong senior said that he’d help me and told me to read a lot of books. Park Ji Sung’s book is practically my bible, and I’ve engraved his words, ‘You have to run when you’re young, do not rest,’ into my heart.”

His reason for appearing on so many variety programs, however, is to get ZE:A more widely known. With ‘variety idol’ dominating his image, he was later met with controversies surrounding his vocal talent. “It’s definitely something I need to work on, and I am rehearsing a lot. We’ll be coming back with an official album around mid-March, so please look forward to us.”

When asked what he had to give up in order to gain fame, he replied, “Love and freedom. I broke up with my girlfriend eight months before our debut. My official ideal woman is f(x)’s Krystal, but maybe it’s because I’m like an unni to her, because she doesn’t get nervous at all around me.”

Kwang Hee’s goal for the year is a sitcom appearance. He explained, “I want to appear in ‘High Kick,’ so I’m currently in a meeting for that. I’m also in discussion for ‘We Got Married.’ I’d like to receive an album award at the year-end as well.”

G.NA attempts to become 4minute’s English teacher on “4minute’s Mr. Teacher”

On the latest episode of “4minute’s Mr. Teacher“, G.NA made an appearance to teach the girls the proper way of speaking English. However, the poor singer had a hard time getting the 4minute girls to stay focused, as they kept going off topic and dancing randomly to songs.

She first attempted to help the girls differentiate the pronunciation of the ‘f’ and ‘p’ sounds, and they were able to butter up their English and say “4minute” with the perfect American accent. Jiyoon then said “f(x)” and all the girls started dancing to “LA chA TA“.

After a while, G.NA finally gave up on the easy-going idols, declaring that they were simply too hard to teach.
