Why did KARA members shed tears during a Japanese performance?

Heavy tears from girl group KARA have been causing fans to cry as well.

Through an online community bulletin, photos of KARA members shedding tears during a performance have been uploaded, and they have been gathering much attention.

The photos were from a performance that the five members specially held for the last broadcast of TV Tokyo’s drama, “URAKARA“. Because some of the members have been engulfed by the contract controversy for the past two months, it looked as though the girls were expressing their heartache and distress.



The five members of KARA wore white dresses while singing a ballad song – drawing sadness from the audience.

Seeing their tears, netizens commented, “It would be good if the KARA situation was amicably resolved soon”, “I want to see their smiling faces”, and “Cheer up.”

Victoria lingers on Nichkhun’s kissing CF

On last week’s episode of “We Got Married,” f(x)’s Victoria checked out husband 2PM Nichkhun’s CF, which features a kiss scene. She shared her jealousy then and it looks like the jealousy hasn’t come to an end yet.

In the episode that aired on the 26th, Victoria watched a behind-the-scenes clip of his CF. The couple was on the internet in Jeju Island, when Victoria searched around and found this video.

Nichkhun quickly said, “Our lips touched a tiny bit.”

Afraid of what consequences would come afterwards, Nichkhun grabbed Victoria’s hands so she couldn’t click on the keyboard. Victoria pouted her mouth in an attempt to click on the clip with her lips.

When she finally watched it, she was horrified by the four different kissing takes. She commented, “Wasn’t that too many takes?” She also found a netizen’s comment that read, “I wish I was that woman he’s kissing.”


Victoria shared in the interview, “I felt like something was trapped inside of me.”

When Nichkhun tried to switch the topic, Victoria replied, “I got old because of you. I get stressed out.”

adidas & 2NE1 release collaborative photoshoot for “We Are Originals”

Earlier, we reported that 2NE1 had finally signed an official contract with “adidas Originals” for their own collaboration project, “We Are Originals.”

As self-proclaimed fans of each other’s works, the two decided on creating an official partnership for a variety of fun upcoming summer programs and events for their fans.

Today, two cuts of the members in a recent photoshoot for the brand were released, featuring both a colorful look and a simpler black and white look.

On March 27th, “adidas Originals” commented, “We will be running an official project called ‘We Are Originals’ with 2NE1, a fashion icon that represents not only Korea, but all of Asia. For the first half of 2011, we have plenty of collaborative programs and events planned, so please look forward to them.”

Wheesung performs with B2ST’s Junhyung on ‘Music Core’

Wheesung began his second week of promotions for “Words That Freeze My Heart” with his original rapper, B2ST’s Junhyung!

Junghyung wasn’t able to participate in Wheesung’s comeback stages last week because of a conflicting schedule, and so Wheesung enlisted INFINITE’s Hoya to take his place instead. But Junhyung insisted on performing with his sunbae this time around, so he adjusted his schedule to fulfill that wish.

CHI CHI debuts on Music Core

After debuting on Inkigayo last week, Yedang Entertainment’s new 7-membered girl group, CHI CHI, continued promotions through MBC’s Music Core with their debut single, “Don’t Play Around.”

Comprised of members Nara, Jiyu, Peach, Aji, Semi, Boreum, and Sori, the group’s name stands for ‘Creative Electronic House Idol,’ which is an expression of their desire to become creative idols that pursue electronic house dance music.


Each of the members have undergone arduous training in singing and dancing, and are said to have ‘infinite spectrum’ in their abilities. Their title track, “Don’t Play Around,” is an electronic house track with strong beats and an analog feel that’s mixed and matched to create CHI CHI’s own unique style.

SHINee and f(x) pair up for ‘Auction’ photoshoot

Popular idol groups SHINee and f(x) put on their best spring clothes for their photoshoot with online shopping mall, ‘Auction‘.

For the site’s spring catalog, the members of SHINee and f(x) were outfitted in bright, colorful patterns, which were balanced by their sweet, pastel-hued props.

As ever, SHINee’s Onew proved himself to be a great leader by taking the initiative to create a relaxed environment. The idol joked around with the staff and colleagues, and ensured that everyone was smiling through the long hours.

The f(x) members also brought their professional outlooks, as staff members reported that the girls barely looked tired, even though the shoot lasted for two days. f(x)’s Victoria played the role of ‘big sister’ well by giving the younger ones snacks during breaks.

The groups created two ‘couples’ (Onew-Sulli and Minho-Victoria) for the shoot, and they worked perfectly together, as expected of the close labelmates.

SHINee and f(x) will act as Auction’s models for a year, starting this March.

2NE1 talks about their ideal types

The members of 2NE1 started giggling like schoolgirls the moment they heard the word ‘boyfriend.’ All that charismatic and rebellious swagger they show on stage disappeared, and in its place was a light blush. After glancing at one another, the younger ones eventually pushed Sandara Park to talk.

Park started with a sigh.

“Recently, I’ve been confused. I haven’t been in a relationship for 5~6 years. I don’t know if it’s because my love receptors are dead, but no matter which man I see, I have no interest.”


The resigned tone in her voice caused everyone in the room to laugh.

She continued, ”My ideal type is Won Bin. I liked his character in the drama ‘Kkokji.’ He was a younger guy who had a crush on an older woman, and he was very cool.”

The reporter asked if she disliked older men, to which she responded, “I feel more comfortable with younger guys. My thinking is immature, so I connect better with people younger than me. But I don’t like rudeness. I guess I like the feel of a little twist? You know, like a beautiful guy who’s surprisingly a tough guy in the end.”

The other members all agreed, “Dara-unni has high expectations.”

CL, who had revealed many times before that her ideal type was YG’s very own producer Teddy, recently switched up her type. “President Yang Hyun Suk told me to stop talking about Teddy-oppa. (laughter) I would like a manly person who I can respect. A positive and energetic person.”

The group’s youngest, Minzy, suddenly began talking about Usher. “I went to his concert recently, and he was glowing. I like people like Usher who can manage themselves well.”

Park Bom also responded, “I would like a man who does his job well and works hard. I would like him even more if he was a musician. Like if he was in business, he would do music business…”

When asked, “Working hard on top of being good, and music? Isn’t that Lee Seung Gi?” She replied, “That’s true~” and laughed.

But as the laughter died down, 2NE1 became slightly gloomy. They concluded, “We’re always at home, so when could we date? Still, even when it’s just us, we hardly talk about boys. Maybe it’s because we are all so close that we don’t need boyfriends? (laughter)”

Talented singer K.Will recently performed on the March 25th episode of “Music Bank“, where he battled it out with TVXQ for the K-Chart win.

Although K.Will put on an incredible performance, TVXQ overwhelmed the votes, and they ended up taking home the trophy.

Big Bang to return with 4.5 album in April

Last week, YG Entertainment representatives announced that Big Bang is currently preparing for a new album that’s to be released later on this year. They also added that Big Bang’s upcoming album would include songs from world-renowned producers.

The company has just made an announcement that they’ll be releasing a re-packaged album for their beloved VIPs. The industry is buzzing over whether this new release would be the afore-hinted album, but anticipation is running high all the same.

On March 25th, a YG Entertainment representative spoke with Newsen and revealed, “Big Bang is expected to return to fans with four new songs in addition to the songs on their current mini album. As of yet, we have not chosen the title track.”

Since Big Bang’s fourth mini-album consists of six songs - ‘Intro (Thank You & You)’, Tonight, ‘Hands Up’, ‘Somebody to Love’, ‘Cafe’, and ‘What is Right’ -, their 4.5 album will feature 10 tracks in total.

Clover’s Gilme releases new still cuts, faces rumors of plastic surgery again

Recently, we reported that singers Eun Ji Won, Gilme, and Typhoon had formed a new project group called ‘Clover’.

Their company, GYM Entertainment, has released new still cuts of Gilme, which earned her the new nickname, ‘Vampire’. This is because in the photos, Gilme bears a striking resemblance to the ‘Twilight‘ character Victoria, thanks to her striking red hair and subtely-gothic outfit.


Though many are marvelling over her new look, some are still whispering of her cosmetic surgery rumors. Last December, Gilme had become a hot issue after netizens spied her jacket picture for her digital single, ‘Why Am I Being An Idiot Like This’.

At that time, her company had denied all rumors of cosmetic surgery with, “Gilme is currently carrying out a completely full schedule. …When she doesn’t have schedules on a day, she doesn’t leave her house because of her own musical processes.”

With the renewed surge of interest in Gilme’s appearance, her company was forced to confront the rumors once more. “After the last rumors of plastic surgery, she didn’t have time to rest with the production of the recently made Clover’s mini album. We’re just going to be thankful for what we will think is much attention we are receiving from people.”

The group Gilme belongs to, Clover, will be releasing their title track ‘La Vida Loca’ on March 31st.
